May the Great Pumpkin...

...be with you. I did the Mt. Vernon Halloween madness for the first time. Tired. Pictures tomorrow night.

Lat night we had more kid show up then we've had in the past three years. It's hit or miss in Germany as they get used to Trick or Treating. I guess the mild weather had something to do with it as well as the retailers pushing their products.

  2. They must all be going to Mt. Vernon these days. We had only four bell rings, two kids each time for a grand total of eight. At least I won't be left wanting (or is it wonting) for candy for awhile.

Great reflection of a tree in the glass. Makes it spooky-er.

  4. steve -- Once the big retailers catch on to a folkway, they really manage to blow it all out of proportion. As a kid, I wasn't introduced to trick or treat until we moved from the southwest to Florida.

cat-A -- I guess they had a big crowd; by the time I got home, there were a lot of people on the street, but none came up the little side street where I live. Thank goodness. I was really, truly Tired.

karen -- That was one fine pumpkin scene, if I do say so...

  5. Great photos.

We had a nice Hallow'een in Dublin, with families calling and shouting "Trick or Treat".

It's nice to see that you can still sit out of doors in your part of the World.

  6. welcome, tales, and do return! Our weather for Halloween is quite unpredictable; this year, it was perfect for sitting outside in the late afternoon.
