Sometimes you gotta wonder. It was a wet, cold, slightly snowy December evening as dotter and I drove up to a local restaurant to give their menu a try. A sign, flapping in the wind caught my attention. Oops! Nobody had thought to bring in that sign a couple of months previously.
Then we figured we knew why -- this must be the ride of the employee in charge of patio signs. That lid stood a good chance of being picked up by the wind and blown away.
PS. The menu was good and we enjoyed our meal.
It can be hard to find a good menu, which delivers on promise!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice repast.
You are probably right about the car. I wonder how long it will sit there.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch GrannyJ! That sign looks like it was mauled by a tiger!
ReplyDeleteIs the restaurant Rooster's by chance?
meggie -- actually, we do quite well for restaurants here in our smallish city -- it's one of the good results of our Californian influx. The rule is that very good restaurants follow in the footsteps of folks from the Left Coast.
ReplyDeletesteve -- one of these days I'll go back and check up on it.
tombo -- not Rooster's, but over on motel row
Great picture of the patio invite collecting hailstones!
