Today was the day for my annual check-up and so off to the MD's I went. One thing I like about going to various professional offices is to discover what kind of art work is on the walls. My doc is a family doc, which means a certain number of patients are kids.
Enter Amanda. She's the young technician who handles preliminaries, such as blood pressure, and follow-ups, such as EKGs.
She also makes the kids' examination room a much more comfortable place, especially for the younger children.
She calls her free hand wall paintings Amanda's Magical Murals. If you'd like walls painted for your kids or grandchildren, she can be reached at amandadrotar-at-cableone.net.

OMGOSH, Amanda is so talented! This is a very nice post, GJ. You show us things in Prescott that the Chamber of Commerce and the Tourism folks miss.
And, hope all went well at the MDs. The name of your blog reminds me of what my MDs tell me to do: Walk!

wow, those are great! -- I can see how those would really help set a nice tone for the office.
[reminds me of a dentist I once saw as a child who had a post auger hanging in his office as a joke -- quite the inverse]
anon av -- the CofC, of course, is interested in the Big Things -- events that will draw tourists & townies alike, for instance. But the texture of a place depends upon a lot of little things, too. It's these that often catch my attention.
warren -- the doc also has some very lovely watercolor and ink artwork of the bleak western farm life of Utah and Wyoming. One of these days, I'm going to buy one.
