December bright spot

Yes, it is December. Yes, our weather has chilled out. Yes, nasturtiums are quite sensitive to frost, which we have had. However, this vine keeps warm, as it is growing right next the building, with an east exposure. Wonderful, those brilliant blossoms at this late date. Enjoy!

Places to Visit, Sights to See: Let's start off with Sadira of Foolsewoode, who was present at the Christmas parade with her camera. Next, High Altitude Gardening displays pictures of her beautiful Christmas cactus which has a family pedigree. Remember the heroic bronzes I recently posted? Well, Albuquerque Daily Photo is featuring a Spanish conquistador, seasonally decorated with a Santa hat. The neighborhood tuxedo cat gets a line at the current Carnival of Cats and there's yet another site for Prescott news and events at American Towns.

steve -- I wouldn't mind some warm either. Twas chill last night and remains that way. What we need is more moisture!

anon av -- the gorgeous color survived another cold night, I'm happy to say! Hope it lasts for the dotter's visit from America's great refrigerator.

That's a little gem, GJ. I hope it survives for Omegamom's visit too:)
