Nasty Stuff, Razor Wire...

...but eminently photogenic. This lucky night shot came as the grand finale to a 3-art day. I spent the afternoon at Yavapai College, first at the arts & crafts show there, then taking autumn pictures in the school's sculpture garden. Tonight was the Prescott College art auction; the barrier above was next door to the venue, the old Sam Hill Warehouse. Hah, I thought. A fine picture to go with my excuse for not elaborating at greater length about my day. (Excuse: I was/am worn out!)

Then, of course, I recalled that there was another razor wire occasion. Down at Sky Harbor in Phoenix. The day the dotter and granddotter left for Alaska. Suspect that the next time I see razor wire, I won't be able to resist clicking the shutter once again!

Brain -- I'm just waiting to see what kind of a haiku Olivia can write on the subject of razor wire!

I don't think I want to or can write a haiku on razor wire, Granny J. The idea of a haiku is to give a momentary impression of nature, for example animals or flowers, rivers and mountains, the moon, day and night or the seasons.
I wrote about the painted crake on the loo - but crakes are animals, right?
I wrote about the fiery t-shirt, fire being a phenomenon in nature.
But barbed wire? I don't think I can do that, sorry.

Sorry, Olivia, to have put forth a challenge that crossed the line on traditions. I had thought that the Japanese culture, so full of contradictions, might have a place for a poem about weapons!

I hope you will write about your impressions of the YC Arts and Craft Fair for those who weren't able to attend.

Welcom, Anon -- bear with me & I'll get around to the arts and crafts fair. It's a great venue, as my pictures in the next post should indicate!
