On the way to the museum

What will I see this day: a question I sometimes ask myself when setting forth for a city stroll. A bathtub, perhaps. Or maybe clean-up time. One never knows.

Or a pair of garages, one far too small to shelter the owner's motor home.
I peeked and found a pick-up shell hiding among the shrubbery; it's a problem when there's no back yard for Stuff. Especially if one collects material for chain saw carving (below).

Then we have the city trying to establish new habit patterns. After much controversy about the Gurley Street crosswalk at Summit, the stripes have been moved to the east crossing, with bright new signs warning motorists.

A few steps away, this bird lounges insouciantly. Still further down Gurley, a warning sign.

At the museum in the new display area , a new floor with stars and many messages.

And finally, a reminder that green remains amidst an autumn leaf fall -- and that we are enjoying beautiful crisp days of bright sunshine. Perfect for walking.

steve -- it's just too dang bad that I never see one of our local squirrels to photograph for you. Especially an Aberts, with his wonderful tufted ears.

arty -- it is truly getting to be time for winter in Arizona, isn't it. I keep wondering if (and when) we will have snow up in the mountains.
